Key features:
- Compact microphone for everyday creation: Magnetic and clip-on attachment options make the transmitter easy to position for vlogs, interviews, teaching, and live streams.
- Adaptive Gain Control: Choose Automatic mode to help manage sudden loud sounds, or Dynamic mode to keep speech levels more consistent. Enable the feature in the receiver or DJI Mimo app.
- Two noise-cancelling levels: Basic suits quieter indoor settings; Strong helps reduce distracting background noise in busier surroundings. Use the supplied windscreen outdoors.
- Three voice tone presets: Select Regular for balanced speech, Rich for fuller lows, or Bright for added vocal clarity.
- 32-bit float internal recording: Record locally on the transmitter for greater editing flexibility. Dual-file recording can save an original version and a processed version together.
- Dual-band wireless connection: Automatic switching between 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz helps manage interference. Transmission reaches up to 400 m under DJI's specified test conditions with Lossless Audio off; local frequency restrictions apply.
- Optional lossless wireless audio: Enable uncompressed 48 kHz/24-bit transmission when audio fidelity takes priority. This mode reduces battery life and maximum range.
- Expandable recording system: A receiver supports up to four Mic 3 transmitters. Expanded multi-receiver setups require additional receivers. Four independent output tracks require a supported workflow.
- Built-in timecode: Synchronize supported recording workflows and simplify multi-camera editing. Timecode modes and device compatibility vary.
- Power for longer sessions: Up to 8 hours per transmitter and 10 hours per receiver under specified conditions. DJI's 28-hour total-use figure applies to the tested two-transmitter kit with its charging case.

DJI Mic 3 Wireless Microphone for Vlogs, Interviews and Video Production
Capture speech with a compact wireless lavalier microphone system designed for solo creators, interviews, and group recordings. Choose a standalone transmitter, a one-person receiver kit, a two-person kit with charging case, or a four-transmitter package for team productions.
Wear It Your Way
Attach the transmitter magnetically or use the detachable, rotatable clip to adjust its position on clothing. The compact design helps keep your setup discreet. Fit the windscreen when recording outdoors to help reduce wind noise.
Shape Your Voice and Manage Changing Volume
Adaptive Gain Control offers two approaches: Automatic mode helps control clipping when volume changes suddenly, while Dynamic mode adjusts gain to maintain more even loudness. Three voice tone presets—Regular, Rich, and Bright—let you adjust the character of your voice.
Basic and Strong noise cancellation help you adapt to different recording environments. Noise cancellation and Adaptive Gain Control are off by default and can be enabled through supported controls. Noise reduction cannot guarantee removal of every background sound.
Record an Internal Backup
The transmitter supports 32-bit float internal recording, giving you more room to adjust recorded levels in compatible editing software. Dual-file recording can save an original track and a version with selected audio processing applied. Start internal recording as required for your workflow; do not assume it is active simply because wireless audio is connected.
Internal recording and wireless transmission are different functions. The optional lossless wireless mode sends 48 kHz/24-bit audio to the receiver. It does not turn the wireless signal into a 32-bit float stream.
Build a Setup for More Speakers
A DJI Mic 3 receiver can connect to up to four DJI Mic 3 transmitters simultaneously. The system can expand to eight receivers in total with additional hardware, making it useful for multi-camera productions.
Four connected microphones do not automatically provide four separate tracks through every camera connection. Four-channel output requires supported Sony cameras with the separately sold DJI Mic Series Camera Adapter, or supported computer software through USB. Select the channel mode and connection to suit your recording device.
Control and Monitor Your Recording
The receiver combines a 1.1-inch AMOLED touchscreen with a dial for quick access to settings and status. Its connections include a locking 3.5 mm TRS audio output, a 3.5 mm TRRS monitoring port, and USB-C. Use the DJI Mimo app for supported settings, file downloads, and firmware updates.
Choose the Right Device Connection
- Camera: Use the receiver and supplied 3.5 mm TRS cable with a compatible camera microphone input. A hot-shoe audio workflow requires the appropriate compatible adapter, sold separately.
- USB-C phone or tablet: Receiver kits include the DJI Mic 3 USB-C phone adapter. Device, operating-system, and app compatibility must be checked.
- Computer: Use a compatible USB connection and recording software.
- Supported DJI cameras: The transmitter can connect directly through DJI OsmoAudio without a receiver. Examples in the supplied product description include Osmo Pocket 3, Osmo Action 4, Osmo Action 5 Pro, and Osmo 360. Supported transmitter counts and available controls depend on the device and firmware.
- Bluetooth phone recording: Direct Bluetooth use supports one transmitter at a time and compatible third-party recording or streaming apps. It does not support recording audio through the phone's native camera app in this connection mode.
- Lightning iPhone: The DJI Mic 3 Lightning adapter is sold separately. External power is required for simultaneous charging and use; the phone cannot power the receiver through Lightning on its own.
Charge and Keep Creating
Under DJI's specified conditions, a transmitter operates for up to 8 hours and a receiver for up to 10 hours. The tested two-transmitter kit provides up to 28 hours of total use with a fully charged case. A five-minute charge provides up to two hours of use under specified conditions.
The charging case stores and charges two transmitters and one receiver. The four-transmitter package includes two magnetic transmitter charging cables for its additional transmitters. The 28-hour test figure is not a verified runtime for four transmitters operating together.
Important Performance and Compatibility Notes
- The maximum 400 m transmission distance was measured in an open, unobstructed environment without interference, using the two-transmitter kit with Lossless Audio off. Actual range varies with obstacles, interference, settings, and local frequency rules.
- Enabling Lossless Audio reduces transmitter battery life by approximately two hours and maximum range by approximately 50% under DJI's stated conditions.
- Battery figures were measured at close range without interference, with noise cancellation and internal recording off, two transmitters linked to the receiver, and the receiver connected to a camera by 3.5 mm cable. Actual runtime varies.
- The five-minute charging claim was tested with device battery levels below 25%, a 5 V charger, noise cancellation off, and DJI's specified recording setup.
- The timecode drift claim of less than one frame over 24 hours was tested without electromagnetic interference and with continuous external power after synchronization. Supported timecode formats and modes vary.
- The complete 4 TX + 8 RX setup requires additional receivers and accessories. None of these four packages includes eight receivers.
- Four-channel output requires compatible hardware or software; do not assume four independent tracks are available through a standard 3.5 mm camera input.
- Some settings are unavailable on devices connected directly through OsmoAudio. Check the exact device and firmware before purchase.
- Avoid stacking accessories inside the charging case, as this may damage the receiver screen.
- Products and accessories supplied depend on the selected SKU. Cameras, smartphones, headphones, and demonstration equipment are not included.
